Homes, Collected & Composed

Hi, I’m Erik, founder of Holmes Johnson, a Vancouver-based studio creating interiors for clients across North America.

I bring together different eras, styles, and sources, combining vintage and new, familiar and unexpected, to create homes that feel collected without feeling cluttered. Through thoughtful layering, editing, and a strong eye for proportion and balance, the result is cohesive, refined, and distinctly personal.

More About Erik

I guide clients through the design process from initial concept through the final details, balancing creative direction with the practical realities of bringing a project together.

Before founding Holmes Johnson in 2022, I spent years working in luxury retail and high-end furnishings. That experience gave me a deep familiarity with furniture, materials, art, and the details that make a space work, while sharpening an instinct for proportion, quality, and composition.

Today, I bring that experience to residential projects ranging from focused room updates to larger cosmetic renovations, as well as kitchen and bath design, art advisement, and outdoor spaces.
